Reminder to airline passengers, again: bomb jokes are never funny.

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) has reminded travelers that the airline has a strict policy against making bomb threats or jokes, as well as smoking or vaping during flights.

Passengers failing to adhere to these regulations may result in legal consequences.

"The safety and convenience of our passengers will always be our priority. We ask for everyone's cooperation in maintaining a smooth and secure passenger experience at the airport," CEB management said in its advisory issued Monday, April 8.

“This will likewise help avoid additional safety and security checks that may cause flight delays," the airline added.

Travelers are strongly advised to adhere to the guidelines and to exercise caution and sensitivity when engaging in any form of communication or behavior while on board an aircraft, and any violation of these rules is taken seriously and may result in severe consequences, including appropriate legal remedies.

The airline clarified that passengers cannot pack a vape in their checked baggage, but they can bring it in their carry-on bag while flying, as long as it is capped and not used during the flight.

"We thank our passengers for their continued support and understanding," Cebu Pacific said.
