Originally from Catbalogan, Samar, renowned Filipino designer Michael Cinco has been chosen to serve as one of the distinguished judges in the forthcoming Miss Universe 2024 pageant, which will be held in Mexico City from November 14 to 16. Internationally renowned for his extravagant creations, Cinco has clothed socialites and well-known celebrities, elevating Filipino workmanship to the fore of global fashion.

Cinco shared his excitement about the new role, stating, "My Miss UNIVERSE journey began by dressing the extraordinary women who wore the crown—each one embodying beauty, strength, and purpose. Today, I'm honored to take on a new role in this journey, helping to select the next inspiring queen."

Cinco, who is well-known for designing stunning dresses that accentuate the beauty of their wearers, has a lengthy association with the Miss Universe organization and will now offer his distinct perspective in choosing the next champion.

One notable aspect of this year's Miss Universe pageant is its adoption of a more comprehensive set of requirements for contender eligibility. Previous limitations based on age, marital status, and body type have been lifted by recent regulation modifications, and moms were permitted to join for the first time last year. These changes show how the pageant has evolved to celebrate women from different backgrounds.

Cinco's involvement gives the event a distinguished edge as one of the most prominent designers in the world, and fans are excited to see how his creative vision will influence the final selection process.
