Their six-to-eight-hour travel from Quezon Province to Muntinlupa City wasn't in vain, after all.
The spirit they wore during the Give Me Five Jingle Video Competition was highly motivated by their collective creativity and fervor when they shot the video meant to enhance the vision and mission of Soroptimist International (SI).
Each of the members of SI Calauag and SI Gumaca—representatives of both towns in Quezon Province under the CALABARZON geo-political jurisdiction—contributed and shared their individual sense of artistry and camaraderie, a force that created meaningful and compact images, sights and sounds exactly what SI is all about.
Although the two community entities were only runners-up, the fulfillment felt and thought by the members was victorious.
SI Gumaca won 3rd Runner-Up while SI Calauag romped away with 2nd Runner-up.
It was an endearing and friendly gesture for unity that SI regional officer, Joy Averion Villegas from SI Lopez tow in Quezon Province, shared the honors by accepting the ceremonial prize check, and joining the photo-op with neighboring towns onstage.
Meanwhile, another CALABARZON spot, SI Batangas Downtown, garnered the 1st Runner-up honors as well.
SI Malabon clinched the Grand Prize win.
Congratulations to the winners.
