Nikko Oliver Villanueva who?

Nikko Oliver Villanueva, one of the active members of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, a singing group founded by the late National Artist for Music Andrea Veneracion.

Nikko, a tenor at the Madz, is also a composer and an arranger.

He has been with the Madz for six years and has accomplished a lot of musical feats and honors.

He is now the assistant of Mark Anthony Carpio, the choirmaster of PMS.

Oliver Villanueva's latest achievement is the arranging of various musical pieces for Sinag Himig Chorale based in the United Kingdom.

Nikko was commissioned to arrange some songs for the group for its concert billed "What I Did For Love?" Which was held in London last February 15, 2025.

Because of his immense musical talent, he was sought out, through a friend, by the London-based choral group to compose and arrange music for them.

Although Nikko's participation in the show was totally virtual, it was a memorable and rewarding experience for him.

"Nang matapos na po ang arrangement, ipinadala ko na lang po online ang lahat ng materials at sila na ang bahala sa interpretasyon (When the arrangements were already done, I sent them all the materials online and they themselves took the reins)," said Nikko who finished Architecture at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in Manila.

Sinag Himig Chorale was very thankful and proud they had Nikko for an arranger and a composer.

At the moment, Oliver Villanueva has earned the trust and confidence of Sinag Himig Chorale, a group of composed Fil-Briton and multiracial musicians.

We, the CALABARZON residents and citizens of Lopez are proud of you, Nikko!
