Young fashion designer has finally relocated to his hometown in the CALABARZON region, specifically in Lopez, Quezon.
After being associated with fashion czar and haute couture wizard Albert Figueras for a long time sharing a workshop with the latter, Erick is now an independent dressmaker.
Valena, with the support of his mentor Fugueras, has softly launched his sartorial shop in the busy business center of Lopez along Maharlika Highway, formerly Real Street corner General Vicente Yngente Road, formerly Calle Anda.
Here in the idyllic community, Erick hopes to discover new and inspiring indigenous clothing materials that can make a difference in his designs.
"I know that my town has a lot of unexplored fabrics that we can work on originally and proclaim as our own unique fashion materials," quipped Valena.
Entertainment writers Art Tapalla and Leo Paul Caliwara, also known as Lollipop, were around to witness the historic creation of a fashion landmark in CALABARZON.
Aside from casual dresses, Erick creates frocks and other formal attire for all occasions.
Good luck, Erick!
