Police Regional Office 4A Regional Director PB/Gen. Hansel Marantan, has declared the implementation of intensified security protocols as part of the IMPLAN Ligtas SUMVAC 2026 program.
This initiative involves the deployment of more than 14,000 personnel throughout the CALABARZON region.
This includes police officers, augmentation forces from various agencies, and trained volunteers.
“Aligned with the focused agenda of our Chief, PNP, we are strengthening the management of all public activities, intensifying crowd control measures, and implementing comprehensive risk management plans across all levels, especially during red-letter days and other significant holidays in the country,” Marantan said in a press release.
Security will be intensified at 1,023 critical locations, including worship sites, major roads, transport terminals, business establishments, and tourist destinations expected to attract large crowds during the season.
“We continuously revisit and improve our security operations, especially in identified areas of concern, to ensure that every event, gathering, and movement of people is secured with precision, discipline, and foresight,” Marantan added.
PRO Calabarzon units will be on full alert starting March 27, focusing on crowd management, traffic control, and crime prevention.
Authorities urge the public to stay vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement to help maintain peace and order throughout the observance of Lent and the summer season.
