Even if he is familiar that politics and arts are also compatible fields but estranged bedfellows as well, Tanay, Rizal visual artist Epitacio Tongohan, also known as Doc Pen Pen (yes, Epitacio is a medical doctor) and Bugtong Takipsilim (B Takipsilim) keeps his fingers crossed that the coming midterm elections not only in CALABARZON but in the entire country will be beneficial to all especially to the poor ones.

Doc Pen Pen, a nominee to the National Artist for Literature, shared with a lot of Filipinos the belief that politics is a good thing but should make it beneficial to the welfare of the people.

Bugtong Takipsilim added that politics has been with us since time immemorial but appealed to the stakeholders to be really looking after the interest of the people.

Doc Pen Pen is praised for his creation of Pentasi B, a collection of poems and images that make up visual poetry, an art sanctuary he is known for, thus his tag Father of Visual Poetry.

No less than the music master Felipe M. de Leon praised Tongohan about his art.

Felipe said that the Filipinos will change the world to a better place. “…And Pentasi B leads in this kind of transformation,” quipped de Leon.
