All flights of Cebu Pacific and PAL Express to Tuguegarao and Batanes were grounded due to bad weather caused by Typhoon Florita.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said all flights to Tuguegarao, Batanes and Maconacon airport in Isabela were suspended because of inclement weather brought about by typhoon Florita.
The affected flights are PAL Express 2P2932/2P2933 (Manila-Basco-Manila) and CebGo DG6031/DG6032 (Manila-San Jose/Mindoro-Manila).
Aviation authorities said Baguio, Laoag, Vigan, Lingayen & Pangasinan remain under normal operations as of 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Airports under Areas 1 and 2 have secured their power station/emergency generators, runway equipment and other airport terminal facilities, CAAP said.
"All precautionary measures and standard operating procedures are implemented as wind signal are hoisted and upgraded," the CAAP said in a Viber message, adding that its managers are closely monitoring at their respective airports.
CAAP Director General Manuel Antonio "Skee" Tamayo earlier Monday gave instructions to Area managers in Region 1 airports (Baguio, Laoag, Vigan, Lingayen & Pangasinan) and Region 2 airports (Bagabag, Palanan, Cauayan, Basco and Itbayat) to activate their procedures for typhoon disaster response for the weather disturbance.
