Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Director General Captain Manuel Antonio L. Tamayo expressed disappointment on airport security and management during a comprehensive inspection of Bacolod-Silay International Airport (BSIA).
The inspection was a monitoring to ensure that the airport maintains the highest standards of maintenance and operational excellence.
BSIA plays a vital role in facilitating travel to and from Negros Occidental and the Western Visayas region, contributing to tourism and economic growth in the area.
Recognizing the importance of regular inspections, CAAP is committed to maintaining top-quality aviation infrastructure and ensuring a safe and seamless travel experience for passengers.
Tamayo gave strict orders to airport staff to improve their measures in order to ensure that the airport's equipment and facilities are safeguarded and maintained after expressing disappointment on the airport's security and management, among others.
The CAP chied was accompanied by Deputy Director General for Administration Atty. Danjun G. Lucas, Aerodrome Development and Management Service (ADMS) Assistant Director General II Col. Valentino A.
