How do you gather competent veteran stars and young thespians on one-of-a-kind and challenging film projects?
Let internationally renowned filmmaker Brillante Ma. Mendoza count the ways.
“Naku, akala ko, mahihirapan ako pero ang dali kong napaoo sina Charo Santos, Boots Anson Roa, Barbie Forteza at iba pa para sa (Oh! I thought I’d find it hard to gather them but they easily said yes to me to star in_ ‘Until She Remembers.’ I am very happy about the outcome of the movie,” chuckled Brillante during his invite at the special screening of the new film at his garden in Mandaluyong City.
These stars are sought-after and their schedules are very hard to manage.
What did Mendoza tell them?
“Ang hiningi ko lang sa kanila, commitment para sa isang sunud-sunod na araw ng shooting. Nakasampung araw lang yata kami at kumpleto sila lagi (I just asked them their commitment to a daily shoot. I think we just had ten days to shoot and they were always complete),” he informed.
The other important stars to join the project are Eric Quizon, Albert Martinez, Angel Aquino, Rene Durian, Erlinda Villalobos, among others.
“Until She Remembers” is scheduled to hit local movie screens at least, hopefully, in February and eventually live streaming.
