Former President Joseph Estrada is now under a ventilator as he continues to fight the complications of Covid-19.
FORMER President Joseph "Erap" Estrada today was placed under a ventilator as he continues to battle against Covid-19 putting his life in a balance.
In a statement issued Tuesday (April 6), his son and former Senator Jinggoy Estrada said Erap's doctors had decided to put the former president on a ventilator after his pneumonia worsened.
“This was done to improve oxygen delivery as well as to prevent the tiring of his respiratory mechanism,” Jinggoy added.
The former president was rushed to the hospital last week upon developing pneumonia after testing positive for Covid-19.
“COVID is unpredictable... Your prayers would mean a lot,” former Senator JV Ejercito, another son of Estrada, said on Twitter.
