The Bureau of Customs (BOC) received a plaque of recognition called the “Gawad Pagkilala Award” for their unwavering support for the Veterans Memorial Medical Center’s (VMMC) mission entitled “Operation Lifeline”, presented last November 21, at the Basilio J. Valdez Hall, VMMC, North Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City.
On behalf of Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio, Acting Deputy Commissioner of the Internal Administration Group, Michael Fermin received the award along with Medical and Dental Division Chief Sigrid B. Duclan, MD, in appreciation of the BOC’s significant help and commitment to VMMC’s voluntary blood donation program that essentially saved the lives of military veterans, AFP retirees, their families, and the general public.
Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are honored to contribute to the success of Operation Lifeline and will continue to support initiatives that make a meaningful difference in the well-being of our veterans and the community at large.”
