The Bureau of Customs - Interim Training and Development Division (BOC-ITDD) organized a two-day Basic Life Support Training program on November 9 and 10, pursuant to Joint Memorandum Circular No. 1, s. 2020 “Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards for the Public Sector” and Republic Act No. 10121 otherwise known as, “Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010.”
With the assistance of the instructors from the Manila Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO), selected officials from various offices in BOC were taught various emergency procedures such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), splinting and bandaging, and disaster preparedness.

This activity was conducted with the support of the Bureau of Customs - Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill Committee led by Vice-Chairperson Bienvenido Datuin, Director of Financial Management Service, as part of the Capacity Building Activities organized by the Interim Training and Development Division, Medical and Dental Division, and Human Resource Management Division.
