The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) reported zero COVID among inmates and personnel since March 27.

BJMP chief Jail Director Allan Iral is hoping that this would continue in the next coming months as he urged all personnel in 475 district, city, and municipal jails nationwide to continue the strict implementation of health protocols to ensure their health and wellness. The agency said as of yesterday a total of 126,747 (of 130, 972) inmates have been vaccinated (primary doses) and 89,433 or 68.28 percent have been given booster shots against COVID-19.
