Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Romeo Lumagui, Jr. (first row) joins the filing of 14 criminal charges against five corporate officers of “ghost corporations” Decarich Supertrade, Inc. and Redington Corporation at the Regional Trial Court and Metropolitan Trial Court of Quezon City Thursday, February 15, 2024.

The criminal charges are part of the bureau’s “Run After Fake Transactions” task force, which targets “ghost companies” using fake transaction records in order to evade paying taxes.
