A bill declaring the foreshore area of the Albay West Coast as tourist spots will definitely spur growth and development in the province.

Rep. Alfredo Delos Santos of Ang Probinsiyano Partylist co authored House Bill 6913 declaring the foreshore areas along the Albay West Coast in the third district of Albay province as tourist spots.

In a press statement, he said he is honored to add his vote and voice in support of House Bill 6913 declaring as tourist spots the foreshore areas along the Albay west coast in the Third District of the province and many other tourism bills filed or moving forward in Congress.

"These tourism bills are important because they will ultimately result in jobs, small businesses, and community development of the identified tourism destinations, many of which are as beautiful as top destinations like Boracay; it is just that they are not given enough attention.”

“New and younger generations of tourists—local and foreign—seek new adventures and destinations which these local tourist spots and ecotourism zones and sites have. The more resources, time, and effort the government and private sector put into tourism, the faster and better these tourism areas will grow and develop,” he explained.

Delos Santos said,

“these tourism bills we are supporting in Congress will place more destinations in our country on the destination radars and tours of foreign and local tourists.”
“But getting these laws passed is just half or even one-third of the battle because the next step is to make sure they get funded in the annual appropriations, and after that, to make sure the tourism laws get implemented well or better as the laws intended,” he stressed.
