There were only four of us Filipinos at the recently concluded 2024 BIFAN, namely, Dagatan, Thai film lab company Kantana’s Regional Business Development Manager Gale Carmona, BIFAN Fantastic Film School (FFS) twenty-five-year-old young filmmaker Jaime Morados, and myself.
It was indeed a privilege to be in the company of legitimate and biggest genre filmmakers all around the globe.
It was an enormous education to be speaking, sharing experiences and discussing things with the multinational film artists and capitalists because they have given me hope for the Philippine movie industry.
The winning of Kenneth at the “It Project” program has proven that Filipino film artists are world-class and can give their foreign counterparts a run for their genre specialization.
