Comedienne Pokwang can now rest a lot easier after authorities deported her former partner from the Philippines.

In a report, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) said it has successfully deported American national Lee O’Brian, from the Philippines last April 8.

The American national boarded a Philippine Airlines flight to San Francisco after the BI confirmed that he has no pending local case in the country.

O'Brien's deportation stemmed from the case filed by Pokwang, or Marietta Subong in real life, against her ex-partner for working without proper permits.

In her complaint, Subong claimed that O’Brian rendered work in different production companies without securing required Department of Labor and Employment and BI permits.

The BI found merit in the said complaint and ordered O’Brian deported in December for violation of the conditions of his stay.

O’Brian filed for a motion for reconsideration, which was eventually denied.

As a consequence of his deportation, his name has been included in the BI’s blacklist, barring any future attempts to re-enter the country.
