After all speculations and hearsays had the public been fed from all sources, in and out of show business, about details of their marriage, the wedding of actress Bea Alonzo and businessman Vincent Co finally became sense last week.
While the earlier reports had Bea and Vincent announced their wedding banns in St. Peter the Apostle Church in Paco, Manila in March and later were reported to be wed in Spain in two separate places, the Alonzo-Co nuptials took place not in Manla neither in Europe but in the City of Makati.
While a matrimony in church was alleged and a grand Wedding of the Year was concocted, a simple getting hitched was held in Makati City inside an LGU (Local Government Unit) office with no less than Mayor Nancy Binay officiating the civil rite.
This was confirmed publicly by Mayor Binay herself in social media and Bea's legal counsel Atty. Joey V. Garcia in an official announcement sent to GMA Network.
"Kinasal ko sila (I already officiated the wedding). Congratulations & Best wishes Vincent & Bea," said Mayor Nancy on social media with a blue heart emoji.
Meanwhile, Atty. Garcia had confirmed his client and Co's marriage.
He also dismissed allegations that previous prenuptial talks between the couple were inaccurate.
True, there was a prenup agreement but both parties had signed it "freely and knowingly."
The civil wedding was a private affair sans the presence of Alonzo and Co's respective parents.
