If not for the revelation of Sandro Muhlach that he was sexually molested by two independent contractors of GMA Network, namely, Jojo Nones and Johnny Cruz, during the GMA Gala, balladeer Gerald Santos wouldn't have spoken up about the same experience he had in the past. Sandro's case reminded Gerald of the pain he experienced in the hands of his predator.

In his social media posts, Santos penned these sentiments: "Ang dami nagme-message, nagtatanong sa akin about this issue. Nagbabalik ang sakit sa akin at hindi ko maiwasan maluha to imagine ang sinapit niya (There are many messages, questions about this issue. Pain recurs and I can't help but cry of what happened to him). My heart goes to Sandro and the whole Muhlach family. I was once in this situation but back then, wala kang boses, walang (I had no voice, no) social media. Unlike ngayon, na,nagkaroon na ng (now, there's this) #MeToo movement . But I will hold my head up high for standing up amidst tremendous pressure to just let me go of what happened. I hope he gets the justice I was once denied of."

According to Santos, he respected the decision of GMA Network to allow him to reveal the truth.

As a resource person, the singer attended the Senate hearing of the Committee on Public Information and Mass Media chaired by Senator Robin Padilla.

According to Gerald, it was fifteen years ago that he was allegedly exploited by musical director Danny Tan.

Santos, after so long, lambasted Danny: "Ang masasabi ko lang, ang kapal ng mukha mo. Ipinagpapasadiyos na lang kita (I can only say this, 'you're unshamed.' I just leave you with the judgment of the Lord)," exclaimed Gerald.

The Westend "Miss Saigon" star said that he came forward to raise awareness among minors to be vigilant about sexual harassment and exploitation in any workplaces.

This column is open for the side of Danny for fairness and objectivity.
