Thousands of families have been evacuated from their homes in the Caraga region due to floods brought by tropical storm “Auring”, according to theNational Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC),
A total of 13,725 families are currently staying at 332 evacuation centers in the region, according to NDRRMC spokesperson Mark Timbal.
Forty-four houses were also “partially damaged.”
“May lanslide din pong naganap diyan sa may Caraga Region pero wala naman po itong naidulot na pinsala doon sa mga kababayan natin. Mukhang merong daan na naharangan dahil dito,” he added.

In Western and Central Visayas Regions, Timbal said 2,027 passengers were reportedly stranded as of Sunday.
As of 8:00 a.m. Monday, "Auring" was spotted at 205 kilometers east northeast of Maasin City, Southern Leyte.
The storm had weakened with maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kilometers per hour, according to state meteorlogists.

Visayas: Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Samar, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, the northern portion of Cebu including Bantayan and Camotes Islands, the northern portion of Negros Occidental, the eastern portion of Capiz, and the eastern portion of Iloilo
Mindanao: Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte.
