With many activities by the Department of Education still curtailed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the local office of DepEd in Pagsanjan, Laguna has offered the use of their building as an isolation facility for Covid-19 patients in the town.

THE local office of the Department of Education (DepEd) in Pagsanjan, Laguna has offered the use of their building as an isolation facility for Covid-19 patients in the town.

This comes as the Covid-19 pandemic still puts many of the operations of DepEd – including face-to-face classes – on hold, even as the agency resumed the academic year last September 13.

In a Facebook post, Pagsanjan Mayor Peter Casius Trinidad said the local government is now preparing the facility lent by DepEd for use by Covid-19 patients.

“Kasalukuyang inihahanda at iniaayos ang mga gamit na gagamitin ng ating mga pasyente upang mas masiguro na maging komportable at maayos ang kanilang matutuluyan,” Trinidad added.

He also expressed his gratitude to the agency for their assistance to the local government in combating the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Tuloy ang suporta at kaisa nyo kami sa laban na inyong kinakaharap ngayon pandemya kaya naman makakaasa kayo na gagawin namin ang aming makakaya upang matulungan kayo sa inyong mas mabilis na paggaling,” he said.

According to the latest data from the municipal health office, Pagsanjan has reported 204 active and 971 confirmed cases of Covid-19 as of September 13.
