The peg is "Around Asia with Nora," a 1970 movie that starred the phenomenal actress Nora Aunor--at the time she was a teenybopper.

Nora's cavalcade was shot in different key cities in Asia, namely Hong Kong and Taipeh and major tourist destinations in Japan like Tokyo.

Aunor and her fellow stars Manny de Leon and Maria Victoria were aboard a cruise and that was it.

Anything during La Aunor's height of popularity in her teenage life was closely followed by her fans even if she sang and danced under a banana tree.

It was produced by Tower Productions and directed by Artemio Marquez.

When it was shown in cinemas, it was a big box-office hit.

At the time, Guy also recorded the cover of "Around the World," originally sung by Nat King Cole.

It was also a moneymaker 45rpm for Alpha Records' Buddy de Vera.

Meanwhile, in the "around Laguna concept,” actresses and beauty queens Jean Saburit and Azenith Briones had a tour in most Laguna towns and cities last week and the week before last.

Being a resident of San Pablo City, Azenith, 1975 Mutya ng Pilipinas' Miss Photogenic tagged along Jean, 1975 Miss Young Philippines, to various parts of the city and other places in Laguna.

It was a frolic in adventure.

At the time, the veteran actresses had all the time in the world to paint the town red.

No movie and television camera shoots, only selfies or groupies.

They started out at Estelita's Cafe in Marasigan in San Pablo. "We had cucumber/kalamansi (calamondin or Philippine lime) juice," shared Briones on his Facebook spaces with heart emojis.

"Then, we went to Alaminos," she pointed out.

The two beauties went around the town specifically described by Zenith with a muffled "Afhomes" in her hurriedly scribbled digital captioning.

Briones also took Saburit to Calauan town where they had "goto," a porridge cooked in sauteed sliced onions and crushed cloves of garlic then mixed with rice, innards, sliced onion leaves, among other ingredients.

At Pablings, they also had "kalabaw cafe" which means coffee with carabao milk.

This time, the two amazing models were not twosome because they were with Azenith's cousins.

Here's Briones' other descriptions of her gallivanting around the idyllic Laguna en toto: "Went different places in Laguna Pila Victoria Sta Cruz bought some Kesong puti (white cheese) Nicky Monanay Callos and Malunggay Pandesal Clayos Bakery in Sta Cruz Laguna Brgy Bagong bayan with Jean Saburit May Mayet Elvis Brendo Buboy and me having good times with good company."

They didn't miss, too, Max's in Los Banos.

Would you think Jean and Azenith were only after filling their tummies that would unwelcome additional pounds to their conscious figure?

But no.

Filial bonding moments, particularly with Zenith, in time of bereavement, were also in their bucket list.

Briones' kin named Ofie had lost her husband so she and Jean condoled with Ofie's family in Barangay Concepcion in San Pablo.
