ANTIPOLO City, Rizal – Following a series of earthquakes in Mindanao and that of Oriental Mindoro, the city government took pride in hosting what is considered one of the best schools offering construction-centered education in the country and in Asia.

Mayor Jun Ynares III particularly hinted at Antipolo Institute of Technology (AiTech) that was created by virtue of a City Ordinance that was enacted nine years ago.

According to Ynares, AiTech (located in Sitio Cabading) is one of the very first local colleges and universities (LUC) in the country to be accredited and declared by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as a "Higher Education Institution".

Incidentally, the country observes the National Construction Month every November by virtue of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s Proclamation No. 115, s. 2001 with the goal of giving recognition to the construction industry as one of the most important aspects of the country's prosperity.
