It should have been one of the highlights of the ABS-CBN's action caper "Batang Quiapo" except perhaps it's for real and the players were true-to-life devotees of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo District Manila.
Yesterday's Daquina-Quinto nuptials were scenes from the real love and life stories of believers in the miraculous Black Nazarene.
Singer Angeline Quinto and her boyfriend Nonrev Daquina finally decided to tie the knot in the Basilica of the Black Nazarene to strengthen their union blessed by the spiritual guidance of the image.
Traditionally, Angeline and Nonrev participate in the annual celebration of the discovery of the burnt image that originated from Mexico in the seventeenth century.
The wedding was also in memory of Angeline's adoptive mother, Mama Bob, a Black Nazarene believer as well who died in 2020.
Quinto and Daquina's two-year-old son Silvio was part of the entourage which also included principal sponsors Zsa Zsa Padilla, Boy Abunda, Charo Santos-Concio, Mayor Honey Lacuna, Regine Velasquez and Martin Nievera.
Angeline's best pal Erik Santos was bestan while Sarah Geronimo was bridesmaid.
Among the celebrity-guests were ABS-CBN Executive Lauren Dyogi and showbiz personalities Vice Ganda, Paulo Avelino, and Kim Chiu.
