A new award is tucked under actor Allen Dizon’s belt after he won Best Actor at the recent 11th Emirates Film Festival Awards in Dubai.
Allen garnered the plum for his role in BG Film Productions' "AbeNida," where he played a wood carver who was abandoned by his wife and later met a woman he falls in love with and redirects his care only to discover that the substitute is a prostitute.
Meanwhile, Dizon's leading lady Katrina Halili, as the other woman, romped away with the Best Supporting Actress award in the derby for the same entry which was named as Best International Film.
Allen's newest honor is an addition to his 52 acting trophies he received from various award-giving bodies here and abroad.
Dizon personally accepted the award with the people behind the production of the project.
"AbeNida" is directed by Louie Ignacio.
