MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — A total of 1,081 residents from Mabalacat City lined up at the covered court of Barangay Sta. Ines to benefit from the free medical services provided by the “Alagang Nanay preventive Health Care Program” on Thursday, April 25.

Governor Dennis "Delta" Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia "Nanay" Pineda led the medical mission together with some provincial board members and local officials from Mabalacat City.

The governor assured the residents that the provincial government is committed to helping those in need, emphasizing the importance of seeking assistance for any health concerns.

"Yung mga may problema, yung mga may masakit, huwag po kayong magdalawang-isip na lumapit sa provincial government, kasi number 1 ho nating programa yan, sa kahit anong paraan ho siguradong tutulong ang provincial government," stated Governor Delta.

In addition to free physical checkups, attendees also received medication, eye checkups, free reading glasses, laboratory assessments, and dental services.

Vice Governor Lilia "Nanay" Pineda highlighted the significance of conducting laboratory tests during medical missions to accurately diagnose and treat patients.

"Ang karagul a bage ing antining laboratory tests medical mission kasi before yung ginagawang medical mission, walang laboratory tests so kwentuhan lang, hindi mo alam na yung ginagamot mo pala mataas na yung sugar niya yung cholesterol niya so namamali ka ng bigay ng gamot pero dito nagbabase ka laboratory test, bago naman kami magpunta nilalaboratory na namin yung mga tao tapos sisiguraduhin na makikita namin lahat ng sakit nila," she said.

Residents expressed their gratitude to Governor Pineda for the assistance provided, with many sharing their appreciation. Mercelina Datu, a mother from Mabalacat City said, “Gov, salamat po sa tulong ninyo sa anak ko."

Her 7-year-old daughter, Arkisha Gatchalian, who sustained a fracture in her hand added, "Salamat po, ang bait niyo po, tinulungan niyo po ako, dahil po sa inyo Gov gagaling na ako, I love you Gov."

Arkisha was immediately brought to the nearest hospital for an X-ray and to have her hand condition assessed at no cost. She will soon be able to come back to school through the help of Governor Delta.
