AirAsia Philippines boosts manpower to support strong travel demand beginning this summer and kicks off March with lowest one-way base fare.

AirAsia Philippines is boosting its operations due to the considerable increase in leisure travel, saying that it is now hiring more pilots as well as cabin, ground and technical crew to support the steady growth in flight bookings.

The low cost carrier said this is in line with the upcoming summer, signifying the airline's path to recovery.

Last year, 600 new flight and ground crew were hired and for the first two months of 2023, AirAsia Philippines has already processed an initial 260 new hires and is continuously boosting its headcount to meet growing demands.

"With the resumption of our Asean destinations and flight frequency expansion, which greatly contributes to our overall load factor, AirAsia Philippines is continuously expanding our roster of flight and on ground crew to accommodate the projected travel demand growth among Filipino travelers this 2023. More than that, we want to offer an opportunity for aspiring Allstars to fulfill their dream with us," AirAsia Philippines and Public Affairs head Steve Dailisan said.

AirAsia, voted World's Best Low-Cost Airline in 2022, "flew a total of 500,000 guests from its hub in the Philippines."

The figure has already tripled as of February 28 as forward bookings until December 2023 continue to increase especially for popular local destinations such as Bohol, Boracay, and Puerto Princesa.

Meanwhile, AirAsia Philippines said, Bangkok, Osaka, Tokyo, and Incheon as out-of-the-country getaways.

AirAsia Philippines is kicking off this March the 3.3 Travel Fest which offers a one-way base fare for as low as P33 to local destinations such as Bacolod, Cagayan De Oro, Tacloban, Cebu, and Davao.

It also offered a one-way base fares to Hong Kong, Macao, Taioei, Kaohsiung, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen for as low as P1,033. The 3.3 Travel Fest is available for booking until March 5 for travels until September 30 this year.
