Civil society, activist, and solidarity organizations, including members of Burma Solidarity Philippines, erected a symbolic prison cell at Boy Scout Circle in Tomas Morato, Quezon City Thursday, February 1, to commemorate the third anniversary of the 2021 military coup in Myanmar.

Protesters expressed solidarity with Myanmar's pursuit of genuine democracy, peace, and social justice, urging global human rights advocates to support their fight against the military junta led by Min Aung Hlaing. The groups also condemned the alleged human rights violations by the military coup, such as torture of political prisoners, rape, gender-based violence, and ongoing attacks on Rohingya people.
