In show business, there is a saying that "the show goes on" despite any situation--good or bad, happy or tragic, peace or war, orderly or catastrophic etc.

Still in show business, taking a bow after a rewarding and illustrous performance/stay, is a heroic act.

Gloria Romero, the Queen of Philippine Movies, had done all that.

Her departure, therefore, was graceful in a collective memory.

The Filipino public remembers her complete self and that she would not ask for anything else in her lifetime--a successful career that had spanned 70 plus years, a family life that was filial no matter that she and husband Juancho Gutierrez separated after 12 years of marriage but she took him in, cared for him upon request of their only daughter Maritess Gutierrez when he suffered a stroke in 2000 until his death in 2005, a long life of 91 years etc.

Gloria, Gloria Anne Borrego Galla in real life, was a portrait of a refined lady, an honorable woman, a professional artist, a friend, etc.

In short, she was an ideal person.

No wonder, colleagues, business associates, friends, relatives, fans and practically all people from all walks of life paid their last respects to the legendary actress.

They all came to Arlington Memorial Chapels in Araneta Avenue to see her for the last time, to attend the final rites on her.

Maricel Soriano, Charo Santos-Concio, Malou Santos, Susan Claire Agbayani, Olivia Lamasan, Linda Cabuhayan, Alice Vergara, Vilma Santos-Recto, Maria Isabel Lopez, Pempe Rodrigo, Anthony Solis, Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Jr., Michael de Mesa, Amy Perez, Azenith Briones, Celia Rodriguez, Nova Villa, Phillip Salvador, Sharon Cuneta, Martin Nievera, Daisy Romualdez, Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez, Lani Mercado etc. were there to observe and celebrate the wonderful life of their Tita Glo.

Wreaths of all colors, shapes and sizes were witnesses to the sweet life of the dearly departed.

Gloria started her movie career at Premiere Productions but after starring in one or two films, she moved to Sampaguita Pictures and eventually was given a solo film, the cimedic "Dalagang Ilocana" where she bagged the Best Actress trophy from Famas in 1954.

Romero was bestowed memorable screen roles and deserving awards as well.

She did challenging roles like crime and syndicate head in NV Productions' "Condemned," strict mom in Viva Films' "Saan Nagtatago ang Pag-ibig?," an understanding wife of a gay husband in Heaven's Best Entertainment's "Rainbow's Sunset," loving and terminally ill grandma in Violet Films' "Magnifico," magnanimous mother in Star Cinema's "Tanging Yaman" etc.

Ms. Romero was an awarded actress notably in "Tanging Yaman" (2000) as Best Actress in Gawad Urian, Famas, Metro Manila Film Festival, among others.

Meanwhile, the family of Gloria has denied that there was already Last Will and Testament prepared by Tita Glo when she was alive.

What gives?

It's natural for her if she wanted to pass on her inheritances to her heirs to make them all legitimate, right?
