There had been 5 volcanic tremors, 2,800-meter plume recorded in Taal Volcano in the past 24 hours, the PHIVOLCS said.

Five volcanic tremors and a low-level background tremor were recorded in Taal Volcano in the last 24 hours, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said on Friday

In its website, the PHIVOLCS said these volcanic earthquakes lasted between three and eight minutes. The volcano released plumes that flew in the southwest, north, northeast, and southeast and climbed up to 2,800 meters.

Over the volcano, the Alert Level 1 was maintained.

Sulfur dioxide emissions from Taal on Thursday were 13,572 tons.

Taal Volcano Island, the Western Taal Caldera, and the Eastern Taal Caldera all showed modest inflation and deflation, respectively, stated in PHIVOLCS report.

The Taal main crater's temperature on April 27 was 66.5 Celcius.

PHIVOLCS prohibited the entry into Taal Volcano Island or the permanent danger zone, especially the main crater and Daang Kastila fissures as well as occupancy and boating on Taal Lake.

It' is also forbidden to fly any aircraft near to the volcano.

PHIVOLCS warned of potential dangers include volcanic earthquakes, steam-, gas-, or phreatic-driven explosions, slight ashfall, and lethal accumulations or expulsions of volcanic gas.
