In the continuous efforts towards a drug-free community, 5 barangays in Quezon province were recently cited by Quezon Provincial Police Office (QPPO) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
At the same time, the whole province was also declared by police authorities as insurgency-free.
Col. Ledon D. Monte, QPPO provincial director, named the barangays and congratulated their leaders, as: Mamala 2 in Sariaya, headed by Chairperson Lea T. Amorada; Tongko in Tayabas City, Rommel Barrot; Dalahican in Lucena City, Roderick C. Macinas; Sta. Catalina in Pagbilao, Jorge T. Glorioso, and Barangay 2 in Lucban, Edgardo N. Austin. They were given certificates of recognition.
Monte ensured that the barangays underwent a tedious analysis to ensure the absence of illegal drugs in their communities.
