The Department of Interior and Local Government Region IV (DILG-Region IV) has released a summary of local government units which passed the Good Financial Housekeeping 2023 program.
Among the 39 municipalities in Quezon Province, 37 passed the DILG’s rigorous standards, along with the cities of Lucana and Tayabas.
These municipalities include Agdangan, Alabat, Atimonan, Buenavista, Burdeos, Calauag, Candelaria, Catanauan, Dolores, General Nakar, General Luna, Guinayangan, Gumaca, Infanta, Jomalig, Lopez, Lucban, Macalelon, Mauban, Mulanay, Padre Burgos, Pagbilao, Panukulan, Perez, Pitogo, Plaridel, Polilio, Real, Sampaloc, San Antonio, San Andres, San Francisco, Sariaya, Tagkawayan, Tiaong, and Unisan.
According to DILG, the GFH passers are based on the assessment in the annual audit report from the Commission on Audit (COA).
The COA Audit Opinion must be "Unqualified or Qualified for CYs 2021 or 2022." The local government unit must also be in compliance with the "Full Disclosure Policy Requirements."
"Compliance with Full Disclosure Policy Requirements on the timely and complete posting of required financial documents in three (3) conspicuous places and in the FDP Portal for the 2nd and 4th quarters of CY 2022 and the 1st quarter of CY 2023, based on the data provided by the FDP Central Team, BLGS-PCMD," according to the Summary of 2023 Good Financial Housekeeping Passers.
