300 youth cyclists lead environ protection, fight drug abuse

Around 300 youth cyclists have already signified their intention to join "Lakas-Ahon Rizaleño sa Bike Turismo" on Sunday, July 2, that rides off at 6 am at the Cainta Town Hall and ends at the Taytay Kalayaan Park.

Spearheaded by the Kapatirang Siklista Pilipino, Inc., or Siklistang Pilipino, this specific project is in support of youth development, consciousness on environment and anti-drug use, and in promoting tourism in the province of Rizal.


Zosimo Porte, Siklistang Pilipino founder and chairman, said Lakas Ahon is just one of the many projects in the pipeline and in line with the group's advocacy to use the bicycle as a tool in encouraging the youth and other enthusiasts into pursuing their own development goals.


With Lakas Ahon, only one of the numerous projects of Siklista Pilipino. The latest of these are the conduct of First Responders' Training in Bacoor, Cavite, in partnership with Kabitenyo Siklista.


Lakas Ahon is made possible with the support of Cainta Mayor Ma. Elenita Nieto and the Taytay local government.


Siklistang Pilipino, with 8,600 members nationwide, is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a champion in environment protection, in emergency response, and tourism, featuring the use of their bicycle for cleaner air and physical health.
