Three police chiefs in Laguna province have been removed from their posts due to unsatisfactory performance, particularly in curbing illegal gambling activities within their areas of responsibility.
Relieved from their positions were P/Lt. Col. Erwin Bañas Legayada of the San Pedro City Police Station and P/Lt. Col. Allan Reginald Basiya of the Biñan City Police Station.
They were replaced by P/Lt. Col. Reynaldo Vitto and P/Lt. Col. Richard Corpuz, respectively.
Following their reassignment, Legayada was designated as chief of the Laguna Police Operations and Management Unit, a post also assigned to Basiya.
Meanwhile, Bay Municipal Police Chief P/Maj. Ruffy Raduyo was also relieved and replaced by P/Maj. Gerry Malipol, who will serve in an acting capacity.
Calabarzon police director P/BGen. Hansel Marantan emphasized that the region continues to strictly implement its “one-, two-, and three-strike policy” in evaluating the performance of police officials.
