There were 28 volcanic tremors, 2,800-meter plume recorded in Taal Volcano in the past 24 hours, the PHIVOLCS said.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said today Taal Volcano in Batangas continued to show signs of activity, with volcanic tremors and plumes having been seen during the last 24 hours.
In its website, the PHIVOLCS said, 28 volcanic tremors lasting four to twelve minutes were recorded along with low-level background tremor. The volcano released plumes that flew in the north and northeast rising up to 2,800 meters.
Sulfur dioxide emissions from Taal on Tuesday were 13,572 tons.
Over the volcano, Alert Level 1 was maintained.
PHIVOLCS prohibited the entry into permanent danger zone, especially the main crater and Daang Kastila fissures as well as boating on Taal Lake.
Flying aircraft near the volcano is also hazardous, it added.
PHIVOLCS said steam-driven or phreatic or gas-driven explosions, volcanic earthquakes, minor ashfall, and lethal accumulations or expulsions of volcanic gas may occur.
