Accessibility to government services is highly valued for a lot of people with an overloaded schedule that makes a simple visit to the agency rather stressful.

The Social Security System (SSS) recognizes this and aims to solve the common problem by strengthening their services to every Filipino.

Such commitment was recently proven by SSS Santa Cruz Branch as it inaugurated the first campus-based Office E-Center at Laguna University, where at least 6,700 students, 250 faculty and staff and nearby communities are expected to benefit from the initiative.

According to SSS Santa Cruz Branch Head Eleanor Ebreo, the newly opened center is set to bring faster and more efficient services from the agency, including membership assistance, online verification of records, filing of benefits and claims, and other online transactions.

“By establishing this facility inside Laguna University, we aim to strengthen our partnership with academic institutions and promote greater social security awareness among the youth, preparing them to become responsible, future-ready members of society,” she pointed out.

Meanwhile, Laguna University President Dr. Charlemagne Laviña reiterated the significance of student-centered services and how the launch of the SSS E–Center is an empowering decision.

“In Laguna University, we listen with our hearts. Serving our students is the main priority,” Laviña said.

The facility is a result of the ongoing efforts of SSS to expand service delivery channels and strengthen partnerships with academic institutions while promoting social security awareness among future members.
