Sixteen provinces, highly urbanized Cities (HUCs) and Independent Component Cities (ICC)- including Quezon province, have been placed on Alert Level 2 status following the approval of Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) effective until April 30.

According to the Department of Health (DOH) COVID-19 Tracker, Quezon province has 31,330 cases. Around 30, 924 have recovered, and 387 have died. .

According to the IATF guidelines on the implementation of the new alert level status, areas under Alert Level 2 status, provinces, HUCs and ICCs shall observe the following guidelines:

Interzonal and Intrazonal activities are allowed.

Casinos, horse racing, cockfighting, and operations of the cockpit, lottery, betting shops, and other gaming activities will be closed.

50% indoor activity and 70% for outdoor activity for fully vaccinated individuals, and below 18 years old, even unvaccinated, shall be allowed for meetings and conferences, social gatherings, tourist attractions, amusement parks, funfairs activities, live-voice activities, recreational activities and cinemas.

Limited Face-to-face classes for basic and higher education shall be implemented, while implementation of limited face-to-face classes for basic education shall be upon the approval of the President.

Religious gatherings, licensure examinations, dine-in services, personal care services, fitness studios, film, music and TV productions, contact sports, and residential gathering shall also be under 50% capacity.

The government agencies can implement hybrid work arrangement with 80% on-site workforce and 20% in alternative work arrangement, following the guidelines of the Civil Service Commission.
