In the continuous intensified PNP Internal Cleansing Program under the leadership of Chief PNP Gen. Rodolfo S Azurin Jr, and in the anti-illegal drug strategy of Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos, the NCRPO extends its support on the said program with 30 Station Commanders with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, 16 of them from the Quezon City Police District and 14 from from the Manila Police District complying with the order of RD Estomo.

“Kung meron sa inyo ang magpositive, I will relieve you immediately and file appropriate charges against you. Kung negative naman, napakaganda para sa atin yan.” Stated NCRPO Chief, PMGEN Jonnel C Estomo before the conduct of surprise Drug Test of all Station Commanders of NCRPO on January 10, 2023 at the NCRPO Conference Room, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City.

Earlier this month, Estomo spearheaded the signing of courtesy resignation together with third level commissioned officers of NCRPO and underwent surprise drug test which resulted in positive feedback from the media, citizens and the community. RD Estomo emphasized that while the committee created by Abalos is still evaluating their submitted courtesy resignation, he will continue to conduct surprise drug test to all police officers especially those in active position region wide.

“The conduct of this drug test to the station commanders of QCPD and MPD is to show their subordinates that their officers are not involved in illegal drug use. It is on record that out of 72 na nag undergo ng drug test, full-colonels and up, 100 percent ay negative sa pag-gamit ng illegal drugs.” RD Estomo added.
