The Newport Mall in Pasay City launches a mall museum for charities while also spreading cheer and supporting local artists.
LOCAL talents take center stage at this mall in Pasay as it launches the museum-in-a-mall attraction with over 300 artworks titled Christmas Mall-seum.
The Newport Mall in Resorts World Manila unveiled a showcase of Filipino art from 12 of the best Filipino artists, galleries, museums, and collections in time for the Christmas season.
The pre-launch exhibit is now open for viewing until Nov 2 from 11 am to 9 pm at 2F, The Plaza.
Each participating artist or gallery will feature their full collection individually weekly starting November 3 until January 25, 2022 at the Garden Wing.
The schedule for each artist are as follows:
●Nemi Miranda - November 3 to 9, 2021
●Ram Mallari - November 10 to 16
●Norlie Meimban - November 17 to 23
●Boysie Villavicencio - November 24 to 30
●Badz Magsumbol - December 1 to 7
●Philipp Badon - December 8 to 14
●Nixxio Castrillo - December 15 to 21
●Maria Pureza Escano - December 22 to 28
●Joe Datuin - December 29 to January 4, 2022
●Blanco Art Museum - January 5 to 11
●Tawid Gallery - January 12 to 18
●Oriental Collections of Shambala Silang - January 19 to 25
Various artworks will also be showcased around the mall and Resorts World Hotels during this period.
“This Christmas season, we are bringing more artworks closer to our mall-goers to inspire them to find hope and inspiration through art and creativity, while bringing cheers and happiness to those in need,” said Graham Coates, head of Megaworld Lifestyle Malls.
The mall-seum is also a charity event for the benefit of the Concordia Children Services and San Lorenzo Ruiz Home for the Elderly.
To ensure safety, visitors must strictly follow Newport Mall’s health and safety protocols including mandatory wearing of face masks and observance of social distancing.
