Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello III (left) receives the complaints of 50 residents of Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City regarding anomalies in the implementation of the agency's Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program Monday (September 6).
Bello had earlier suspended the implementation of TUPAD in the city's District 2 after reports that beneficiaries received less than half of their payouts under the program. TUPAD is an emergency employment program of DOLE to aid the displaced or disadvantaged workers amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
