Bad weather forces SC to suspend work in Metro Manila

According to the state weather bureau, Metro Manila and surrounding provinces will continue to experience monsoon rains on Wednesday.

THE Supreme Court has ordered work suspension on its branches Wednesday (July 21) due to the rainy weather currently experienced over Metro Manila.

Under Memorandum Order No. 60-2021 issued by Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo, work is supended at the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Court of Tax Appeals, all regional trial courts in Metro Manila, Presidential Electoral Tribunal, and Judicial and Bar Council starting 12:00 noon.

According to the state weather bureau, Metro Manila and surrounding provinces will continue to experience monsoon rains on Wednesday.

The "habagat" is still being enhanced by Typhoon Fabian and the weather disturbance outside the Philippine area of responsibility with the international name "Cempaka", the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 5:00 a.m. weather bulletin.

Several parts of Metro Manila are now also experiencing heavy flooding due to the rains.
