Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Chairman (MMDA) Benhur Abalos leads the inspection of the Garden of Life Cemetery in Mandaluyong City on Tuesday, 26 October 2021.
Abalos wants to make sure that protocols imposed by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases are being complied with in relation to the observance of All Saints and Souls Day. Private and public cemeteries in Metro Manila will be closed from Oct.29 to Nov. 3 to prevent the gathering of huge crowds that could result in spike of Covid-19 cases.
