Apple has been reportedly working on a self-driving car since as far back as 2014, when nearly 1,000 car experts and engineers began developing an electric vehicle under the codename “Project Titan.”
APPLE has been the technology giant for the past decade dominating the smartphone industry with its iPhone series.
Now in 2021, numerous reports are hinting that the tech giant might be diving to a whole new industry – in automobiles.
Reports are suggesting the Apple Car could be announced as early as the end of 2021.
In a recent interview with Reuters, Japanese chemist Akira Yoshino, who invented the first safe, production-viable lithium-ion battery, spoke about Apple’s expansion into the automotive industry.
Yoshino noted that “Apple could lead the convergence of the automotive and information technology industries in future mobility.”
Going on to discuss the place of both Tesla and Apple in the electric car industry, revealing his belief that we could see the unveiling of the Apple Car later this year.
“Tesla has their own independent strategy. The one to look out for is Apple,”

This would be something modern, fresh and undeniably Apple.
While having its Apple design, it will definitely also be equipped with the Apple features. The tech company has been known for its ecosystem of products since its beginnings.

With the introduction of the Apple Car, it would be very interesting to know how the ecosystem will be weaved together for the Apple Car and other Apple products.
With the possible release of the Apple Car, the world should be ready for the convergence of automotive and information technology.
