Shoe giant Nike is releasing two pairs of SB Dunk High designed after an iconic Gundam model.

WHO would have guessed sneakerheads, skateboarders, and anime fans would get together like this?

Nike is releasing two pairs of SB Dunk High designed after an iconic Gundam model.

In addition, Bandai will also be releasing two limited Gundam kits which the Nike SB takes its inspiration from.

The Unicorn Gundam in Destroy Mode is known for its white body, pinkish-red lights, and yellow “fins” while the Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee (Destroy Mode) has the same features except for the dark blue body and gold accents.

Nike and Bandai’s collaboration centers around the two iconic Gundam models.

The Nike Dunk Highs has the Unicorn logo, the distinctive pinkish-red detailing across the toebox, and in place of the Nike check logo, it has a stylized swoosh imitating the “fins”.

The Banshee version is a darker version but with the “fins” sporting a more golden hue.

“The “Gundam” SB Dunk High is a testament to imagination and work ethic, and brings DIY inspiration and science-fiction fashion to an iconic line of eccentric SB Dunks,” Nike describes the collaboration.

The official Nike Philippines website lists the SB Dunk high Gundam for P5,895 but has yet to reveal if the Banshee will also be available.

As for the Nike SB x Bandai Gundam Model Kit, Bandai or Nike in the Philippines has yet to announce its availability.

In Japan, they will be releasing the kits via raffle and is priced at ¥2,420 JPY.

Collectors and Gundam enthusiasts will surely want to get their hands on a pair or two.

The shoes are set to be on sale starting September 24.

Nike has previously released the Air Max 98 “Gundam” while Bandai has collaborated with other shoe companies to release limited edition sneakers.
