Pageant enthusiasts, save the date for the back-to-back grand coronation night of Mister Pilipinas Worldwide, which will start at five in the afternoon, followed by the highlights of the Filipino Festival (TFF) and the announcement of TFF contest winners.
The Miss Philippines will start at 6:30 in the evening, followed by “Fest Time” at 8:30. The performers will be announced soon.
All this will happen on October 24 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The winners will be the successor of Johannes Rissler and will compete for the next edition of Mister Supranational, as well as the First Miss Philippines and Miss Supranational 1st Runner Up, Pauline Amelinckx.
The Miss Philippines also holds the franchises for Miss Charm Philippines and Miss Asia Pacific International.
21 ladies, 16 gentlemen
Twenty-one ladies will vie for the prestigious crown of "The Miss Philippines," while 16 gentlemen will have fought to represent the Philippines in an international male pageant.
During the press presentation, TFF also bid send-off to Ivan Ignacio, who is set to represent the Philippines at the Mister Cosmopolitan in Malaysia, and homecoming to Jefferson Bunney, who finishes in the Top 10 for the 15th edition of Mister International.
As the Filipino Festival reinvents the convention of beauty pageants, the Filipino Festivals will focus on the promotion of Filipino culture and heritage.
No swimsuit competition
The pageant has now removed the swimsuit competition, added a glamorous red carpet moment for the candidates, added Ted-Talk-type speeches, and emphasized the promotion of the Philippines to the world.
Other activities comprising “The Filipino Festival” include “The Filipino Food and Products Fest,” “The Filipino Fashion,” “The Filipino Music Fest,” and “The Filipino Film Festival”.
