The new Social Development Center Building in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna was designed to provide help and improve the quality of living for one of the most vulnerable sectors in the city.

WANTING to provide more services to some of the more vulnerable sectors of the society, Sta. Rosa City Mayor Arlene B. Arcillas, together with CSWD head Ms. Judith Hasil, has recently inaugurated the city's newly-renovated Social Development Center Building in Barangay Tagapo.

The mayor also led the blessing of the new Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) headquarters.

The activities were conducted as part of the city's celebration of the 43rd National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week, according to the city government.

The LGU wanted to provide support and improve the quality of services for one of the most vulnerable sectors in the city.

During the launch, the city government also remembered former PDAO head Mr. Reginald Tiongco, who passed away on July 18.

“His dedication in the pursuit of the rights and welfare of the PWD community will always be remembered,” Arcillas said.

The new Social Development Center Building will also house other social welfare offices such as the Federation of the Senior Citizens and Gender and Development Office, she added. (ONT)
