GOOD news for senior citizens and persons with disabilities: the city government of Sta. Rosa recently opened its first “drive-through” Covid-19 vaccination facility.
Starting last May 19, senior citizens or PWDs who have registered for vaccination can have themselves driven to the Sta. Rosa “Park’N’Vac” vaccination facility located at the Sta. Rosa Community Hospital.
“Ang Park N' Vac ay inilunsad para sa mga rehistradong Senior Citizen o PWD na hindi na kayang maglakad patungo sa vaccination center ng SRCH,” the city government said in a statement.
The move comes as the city government continues its vaccination program for the A2 and A3 priority sectors (senior citizens and persons with comorbidities).
Operating hours are limited to 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Only those who have already registered with the Sta. Rosa Covid-19 vaccination portal are allowed, and walk-ins are prohibited.
“Ito ay first come, first served basis at limitado lamang sa limang sasakyan kada oras dahil kailangan pa ring dumaan sa proseso tulad ng screening (pagkuha ng blood pressure), pagpirma sa consent form, pagbabakuna at pananatili ng 30 minuto para sa monitoring,” the city government also explained.
The local government is also open to additional “drive-through” vaccination sites depending on the space, manpower and availability of the vaccine.
A total of 300,000 AstraZeneca vaccines ordered by the city government is expected to arrive by June or July.
Sta. Rosa City residents who wish to be vaccinated may log on to the city’s Covid-19 vaccination portal (www.vac.santarosacity.gov.ph ) to register. (ONT)
