The program is open for out-of-school youths who have finished Grade 10 or a junior high school undergraduate, solo parents, senior citizens, and persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) who wish to pursue further education.

Good news for those wishing to continue their education under the Alternative Learning System (ALS): the local government of Sta. Cruz, Laguna is offering free courses for selected beneficiaries through the Santa Cruz ALS-EST Centre.

The “Libreng Pag-aaral” Program is a joint venture of the local government under Mayor Edgar San Luis and the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), the LGU said in a social media post on September 9.

The program is open for out-of-school youths who have finished Grade 10 or a junior high school undergraduate, solo parents, senior citizens, and persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) who wish to pursue further education.

The program offers skills training courses such as computer servicing, electrical services, cookery, dress-making, and contact center services.

The "Libreng Pag-aaral" package includes free tuition fees, training allowances, travel and meal allowances, and free learning kits and materials, according to the municipal government.

Interested applicants may contact the SCL ALS-EST Centre at 0906 415 5143, through their social media page (Scl Als-est Centre Dap), or through email at santacruzalsestcentre@gmail.com.
