San Pablo City to use Pfizer vaccines for its senior citizens

According to the San Pablo City CHO, only about 3,000 of the total 22,000 registered senior citizens have received their full two doses of Covid-19 vaccines, mostly Sinovac, AstraZeneca and Sputnik V.

WITH the arrival of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccines from the national government, the local government of San Pablo City hopes to continue its vaccination program for the A2 priority group (senior citizens).

The San Pablo City Health Office led by Dr. James Lee Ho recently led a vaccination simulation activity to prepare for the vaccination of nearly 22,000 registered senior citizens under the program.

According to the CHO, only about 3,000 of the total registered senior citizens have received their full two doses of Covid-19 vaccines, mostly Sinovac, AstraZeneca and Sputnik V.

The city government of San Pablo City is also stepping up its information campaign to convince senior citizens to have themselves vaccinated against the virus.

As of June 16, the San Pablo CHO has logged in 394 active and 3,725 confirmed cases of Covid-19.

This number includes 3,203 recoveries and 128 fatalities. (With report from PIA Laguna)
